Inter-State Board for Anglo-Indian Education Test

The Association's longstanding association with the Inter-State Board for Anglo-Indian Education placed it at the centre of the educational developments that shaped modern school examinations in India. In 1956, the Board adopted the proposal for the creation of an Indian Council to administer examinations suited to the needs of an independent India.

Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE)

The work of the Inter-State Board culminated in the establishment of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) in 1958. AHAISI's continuing representation within the governance of CISCE reflects the confidence reposed in the Association and its enduring contribution to educational administration.

From Board to Council
